My Stuff

I was born in Croix Chapeau France in 1963. My dad was there serving in the Military. I was able to go visit the town in which I was born a few years back... it was a delightful journey. Happily married... three wonderful and energetic boys: Jonathan, Joshua, Noah. I find them more interesting and fun, the older they get. I really don't understand parents who don't want to be around their children. I have a BA in Theology/Preaching from Puget Sound Christian College (which no longer exists, but from which I got some good stuff {thanks Dr. Ford - RIP})and an MA in Apologetics from Biola University.

Recent Reads

Just a note to check out book ideas on the sidebar. These are some of the books that I've read in the recent weeks in case you're interested. These, actually, are the books I've read recently even if you haven't the slightest interest in all the world!

I love Miller. Searching was a great read, as was Blue Like Jazz. You've got to read Through Painted Deserts. It's a republish of his first book I believe. To Own a Dragon is on its way from the library. He did a talk at SPU in which he incorporated the Romeo and Juliet talk. Great stuff! Check it out on iTunes. He's fun to listen to. It's a free download. If you search Donald Miller on iTunes, he had a podcast at one time. I think it's the first episode in which he reads a chapter from Dragon. It had me rolling on the floor one moment and crying the next.

Chris,
I'll have to read Painted Deserts... don't have it yet. I'll also go to Itunes and check downloads. I have listened to a few of Miller's podcasts, and I enjoy him. I'd love to hear him in person... we should find out if he's speaking in the neighborhood sometime and go to listen. I thought recently about getting him for "Setting the Mind on Fire." I plan to email him soon.

I'm thinking we need to get a group going again like we used to have on Thursdays from 5:00 to 6:00 PM... what do you think about that sort of plan?
